Founder’s Story

About

Hello! I’m Chloe Chang, a sophomore at Seoul Foreign School. I’ve moved across countries throughout my life, mostly for the purpose of traveling and exploring new places. The first time I settled in a new country was in second grade, when my family and I immigrated to Vancouver, Canada.

My Story

When I first went to school in Canada, I was initially scared and confused, but the school, which had a small tight-knit community, allowed me to quickly adapt to the new educative system. After living in Korea’s hyper-competitive and unbalanced education system, I had a fresh experience in Canada. Not only did I feel liberated from the numerical measure of success, but I could also deepen my interests in a variety of subjects. When I returned to Korea in sixth grade, I again faced the lack of freedom to pursue my true academic passion and realized the importance of interdisciplinary education that sparks students’ enthusiasm. I hope to unite scholars worldwide through shared intellectual passions and diverse academic norms. With STEMisphere, I hope to build a community that surpasses geographical and socioeconomic borders, empowering everyone to question deeply, learn boldly, and connect authentically. I hope our mission and legacy will inform and inspire the future generation of leaders in STEM.
